We've marveled in awe over Scottish sculptor David Mach's unconventionally structured sculptures composed of magazines, matchsticks, bricks, and wire coat hangers. Yet again, the sculptor has managed to draw our attention with his incredible coat hanger sculptures, this time depicting two giant cats–a tiger and a cheetah.
The artist typically layers and clips hundreds, if not thousands, of wire hangers to produce his remarkable figures and these large-scale renditions of the felines fall right in line with Mach's preference of presenting sculptural realism with unconventional components. They exhibit the ferocious roar of the beasts, while retaining an artistic aesthetic. The abstract spokes of wire jutting out from all ends complete Mach's works' signature style.
