Japanese Farm’s Ingenious Cake Looks and Tastes Like a Freshly Picked Strawberry
Japan's Fukasaku Farm decided to combine their two specialties in one dessert that looks and tastes like a perfectly plump strawberry. Located about 25 miles from Tokyo in Ibaraki Prefecture, the farm naturally grows a variety of crops and also operates an on-site cake shop. This eatery is famous for its baumkuchen (or “tree cake”), a German confection with layers that mimic the rings found within a tree trunk.
