Surreal Collages Blend Vintage Elements to Create Intriguing Scenes

Tokyo-based art director Sato Masahiro, more commonly known as Q-TA (@qta3) combines materials from vintage encyclopedias and magazines to create seamless, boldly creative collages. Using both digital and analog methods, the collage artist thoughtfully merges the unlikeliest elements, resulting in beautifully bizarre, surreal works that somehow fit together perfectly.

Gigantic Man Erupts from the Earth in this Spectacular Outdoor Sculpture

A gigantic man crawls out from the earth in this spectacular outdoor sculpture titled Feltpve (“ripped up” or “popped up”) by Hungarian artist Ervin Lornth Herv. Crafted from polystyrene, the larger-than-life sculpture was temporarily installed in Budapest's Szchenyi Square for the Art Market Budapest art fair that took place earlier this October.

Morgan Spence, a 15-year-old aspiring filmmaker from Scotland, spent three weeks using hundreds of LEGO bricks to recreate famous movie scenes in an amazing stop-motion animation. Popular scenes from iconic works such as Dracula, Breakfast at Tiffany's, and Titanic are instantly recognizable even in tiny plastic form, speaking to the fame of the films as well as Spence's extraordinary skill at replicating characters, props, scenery, and other details using the toy building blocks.

Banye, an 11-year-old British Shorthair from China, has a perpetual look of surprise thanks to a patch of dark fur strategically grown beneath his mouth. The startled kitty has started to achieve online fame after his owner, Shanghai-based winnnie, posted photos of him on the Pinterest-like site Duitang.
