MMM Interview: Manjari Sharma’s Beautifully Intimate Portraits Taken in the Shower

Instead of using a traditional studio, Mumbai-born photographer Manjari Sharma found a more intimate setting to shoot portraits of friends, acquaintances, and strangers: the shower in her Brooklyn apartment. Although Sharma's subjects are nude, there's nothing racy about the images in the Shower Series. Instead, each person is portrayed with a tender sense of sensuality and closeness, beautiful in the moody lighting of the bathroom.

Bernard Pras Forms Incredible Anamorphic Portrait Out of Found Objects

French artist Bernard Pras, who is known for creating mind-boggling anamorphic illusions out of found objects, unveiled his latest installation at Le palais idal in Hauterives, France. When viewed from the right perspective, a seemingly random pile of trash is revealed to be an enormous sculptural portrait of Ferdinand Cheval, a simple French postman who spent 33 years stacking stones to construct Le palais idal.

Explore the Jaw-Dropping Depths of the Deepest Cave in the World

With a staggering depth of 2,197 meters (7,208 feet), Krubera Cave is the deepest known cave in the world. To put that in perspective, imagine six-and-a-half Eiffel Towers stacked on top of each other underground! Considered “the Everest of caves,” the vast cavern, also known as Voronya or Voronja Cave, is located in the Arabika Massif. Arabika Massif is on the edge of the Black Sea in Abkhazia, a region that borders Georgia.

Iron Man and Other Brilliant Cardboard Sculptures by Kai-Xiang Xhong

20-year-old Taiwanese student Kai-Xiang Xhong has the unique hobby of constructing astonishingly intricate and realistic works of art from cardboard. Recently, Xhong used the humble medium to build a life-size replication of Iron Man that looks every bit like the suit from the movies. Each detail is reproduced perfectly, right down to the glowing chest plate and arms.
