Jessica Stewart is a Staff Editor and Digital Media Specialist for My Modern Met, as well as a curator and art historian. Since 2020, she is also one of the co-hosts of the My Modern Met Top Artist Podcast. She earned her MA in Renaissance Studies from University College London and now lives in Rome, Italy. She cultivated expertise in street art which led to the purchase of her photographic archive by the Treccani Italian Encyclopedia in 2014. When she’s not spending time with her three dogs, she also manages the studio of a successful street artist. In 2013, she authored the book "Street Art Stories Roma" and most recently contributed to "Crossroads: A Glimpse Into the Life of Alice Pasquini." Unexpected Meteor Lights Up the Sky in Portugal and Spain

When a meteor is set to enter Earth's atmosphere, scientists are typically prepared for it. But over the weekend, a fragment of a comet lit up the sky in Portugal and Spain, taking everyone by surprise. Caught on camera by the European Space Agency (ESA) and social media users, video footage shows a bright streak that lights up the night sky with a bluish-green color.

Amazing Winners of the GDT Nature Photographer of the Year 2024

A dreamy winter scene has earned Dieter Damschen the title of GDT Nature Photographer of the Year. The competition is run by the Germany Society for Nature Photographers to highlight the talent of its members. This year, 481 members from 13 countries entered just under 8,000 images. Damschen rose to the top with his photo of trees dusted with snow as a winter flood swept through Germany's Elbe River Landscape Biosphere Reserve.

Reuters and AP Photographers Win 2024 Pulitzer Prizes for Exceptional Photojournalism

The Pulitzer Prize Board has honored the photography staffs of Reuters and the Associated Press for their outstanding work. The Reuters staff was recognized with the 2024 Pulitzer Prize for Breaking News, while the Associated Press was awarded the 2024 Pulitzer Prize for Feature Photography. Since 1917, the Pulitzer Prize has been handed out to honor exceptional achievements in American “journalism, arts, and letters.

Yoko Ono’s ‘Refugee Boat’ Invites Visitors To Participate and Spreads a Powerful Message of Hope

First conceived in the 1960s, Yoko Ono's Add Colour series invites people to participate in creating a collective piece of art. With Add Colour (Refugee Boat), currently installed at London's Tate Modern, Ono asks us to think about the power of collective action in relation to today's immigration crisis. The current iteration, which is part of the Tate's YOKO ONO: MUSIC OF THE MIND exhibition, began with a white boat in a white room.
