Pinar Noorata is the Managing Editor at My Modern Met. She is a writer, editor, and content creator based in Brooklyn, NY. She earned her BA in Film and Media Studies from CUNY Hunter College and is an alumni of the Center for Arts Education’s Career Development Program in NYC. She has worked at major TV, film, and publishing companies as well as other independent media businesses. When she isn’t writing, editing, or creating videos herself, Pinar enjoys watching movies, reading, crafting, drawing, and volunteering at her local animal shelter.

Spectacular Photos of the Magical Ice Castles in Utah

Salt Lake City-based photographer Ben Kuhns, who also happens to be one half of creative network Lunar / Solar, captures some enchanting images of the spectacular towers of ice, aptly known as Ice Castles, in Midway, Utah. The massive, icy structures are given a mysterious appeal through Kuhns' firsthand perspective. His point of view from afar, within the frosty trails, and beneath the spiky icicles are stunning documents of the space.

Photographer Re-Imagines Clouds as Magical Landscapes

Torino-based photographer Elio Pallard whimsically re-imagines clouds as a variety of wondrous landscapes in his series titled Playing with Clouds. The photographer offers new perspectives with his manipulated cloudscapes that transform the cotton ball-like puffs in the sky into magical mountains, fluffy waves, and billowing blankets of snow. By placing silhouettes of adventurous (usually out-of-place) figures into each cloud portrait, Pallard creates clever scenes that tap into his imagination.

Young People Swap Clothes with Their Older Relatives

Chinese mother and daughter Photographer Qozop photographs pairs of relatives in a series titled Spring-Autumn that juxtaposes an image of a youth and his/her family member from an older generation in their normal attire with a portrait of the two after they've swapped clothes. Photorealistic Paintings of Beautiful Women Lying in Nature

Tel Aviv-born, New York-based painter Yigal Ozeri produces unbelievably realistic paintings of women in beautiful landscapes that make it hard to believe that they aren't photographs. The photorealistic pieces, which often depict women lying in nature, capture every detail of the scene, from the wispy, flyaway hairs on the subject's head and the ruffles in her blouse to the reflective ripples of water around her.
