Refik Anadol and BVLGARI Reveal Immersive Installation Created With AI

Digital artist Refik Anadol never ceases to titillate the senses with his alluring installations. He has most recently collaborated with the luxury brand BVLGARI to create an immersive experience titled Serpenti Metamorphosis. The multi-sensory installation is inspired by BVLGARI’s iconic Serpenti collection and the process of metamorphosis. Ultimately, it is a celebration of nature’s beauty. For this dynamic piece, Anadol used artificial intelligence to compile millions of images of nature.

​​This Cabin Has a Flexible Design To Transform From an Enclosed To Open Space

Cabin architecture is often about creating a beautiful enclosure that still feels connected to nature. Cabin ANNA by Caspar Schols makes the relationship between the building and nature flexible by incorporating adjustable walls. The unique cabin is defined by two sliding shells of enclosure on tracks. The glass enclosure allows guests to stay visually connected to the outside but guarded from the elements.

Boomerang-Shaped Research Center Offers Visitors Dramatic Views of the Arctic Landscape

Danish architect Dorte Mandrup is known for her elegant and sculptural projects that thoughtfully adapt to unique sites around the world. Her firm's recent project known as the Ilulissat Icefjord Centre is one of them; it is a research and visitor center that tells a hauntingly beautiful story about climate change and our environment. Ilulissat is located on the western coast of Greenland just 250 kilometers, or about 150 miles, away from the Arctic Circle.

Historic 1930s Sea Pool Is Getting a Dramatic Redesign Resembling a Topographic Map

The historic Knubben harbor bath in Arendal, Norway, will soon undergo a dramatic redesign that's a bit different than a traditional restoration. Design firm Snøhetta has released images of a contemporary and elegant stepped landscape that will breathe new life into the original 1937 design by Ketil Ugland. The original harbor bath has long remained closed but once included public amenities such as a children’s pool, changing facilities, and a 33’ foot diving platform.
