Designers Help Bring Frank Lloyd Wright’s Unbuilt Projects to Life

Frank Lloyd Wright is one of the most famous architects to ever live. He is known for the first American style of architecture called the Prairie style, the architectural masterpiece Falling Water, the Solomon R. Guggenheim Museum, and more. But despite his fame and the many followers he trained during his lifetime, more than half of his projects were never built. Out of 1,171 concepts, only 660 made it past the design phase.

Incredible Winding Staircase That Looks Like a Rollercoaster in South Korea

Though it may certainly look like it belongs in an amusement park, the new winding structure in Pohang’s Hwanho Park is not actually a rollercoaster. Designed by Heike Mutter and Ulrich Genth, SpaceWalk is a massive sculptural staircase full of dramatic twists and turns. The project is South Korea’s largest-ever contemporary public sculpture. Visitors to SpaceWalk can walk through almost all of the structure except for the large loop at the center.
