The firm has created a 3D-printed tiny home and is doing some good for the community at the same time. Tim Shea, a 70-year-old man who has struggled with housing insecurity, is the first to benefit from this cost-effective construction technique.

This Elusive Green Home Was Designed to Fit Perfectly in the Icelandic Hillside

Nestled in the hills overlooking the Icelandic lake of Þingvallavatn sits a camouflaged home called Thingvallavatn House. This modern abode was designed by architecture firm KRADS as a holiday home for musicians Tina Dickow and Helgi Hrafn Jónsson. To help blend the building into the natural site, the architects designed green roofs for each of the three built volumes and completed the facades in black wood panels.

Louis Vuitton Store in Japan is Now Covered in a Shimmering Sea-Inspired Exterior

After three years of renovation, Louis Vuitton’s Ginza Namiki store in Tokyo’s Ginza district is back in business with a new unique façade. Japanese architect Jun Aoki designed a shimmering face for the historic store through the use of unique panels and dichroic film to create patterns reminiscent of reflecting water. New York-based interior designer Peter Marino crafted the store’s interiors with thoughtful touches following the water theme.
