Ocean-Inspired Ceramic Sculptures Resemble Cresting Waves

Like artists Paul DeSomma and Marsha Blaker, Denise Romecki finds inspiration for her sculptures in cresting waves. The big difference is that, while DeSomma and Blaker work with glass, Romecki creates her original pieces using stoneware clay. Requiring at least two kiln firings, her ceramic sculptures resemble beautifully rising white-capped waves that have been stunningly frozen in time.

Artist’s Detailed Sketches Display Memories as Tangible Objects and Intricate Landscapes

Michigan-based artist Pat Perry has the innate ability to portray this occurrence by sketching tangible objects and landscapes within a person's mind. Using yellowed paper, Perry draws fluid imagery swirling around his subject's body to expose the connection that is shared between memory and identity.

Vintage Floral Temporary Tattoos by Tattoorary

While this summer we're predicting that metallic flash tattoos will be all the rage, we're also loving these more vintage temporary tattoos featuring flowers. Tattoorary is a Netherlands based company that sells these handmade works of art that will last for up to a week. While their Etsy shop is filled with animal tattoos – swallows, fox, and even a steampunk octopus – it's their floral designs that have us swooning.
