Artist Gives Snail Shells an Upgrade So People Don’t Accidentally Step on Them

For several years, artist Stefan Siverud has been decorating snails' shells with colorful, eye-catching designs for his Snailpimp project. Thus far, the series has featured tiny mollusks sporting anything from a vibrant rainbow or an impressive miniature lighthouse to the McDonald's logo. Aside from being fun, these creations are actually saving the lives of snails by allowing them to stand out. With new multicolored exteriors, these snails are more visible from above.

Amusingly Mischievous Murals Cleverly Interact with the Streets

Italian street artist Caiffa Cosimo, also known as Cheone, creates eye-catching street art featuring optical illusions. The larger-than-life paintings cleverly interact with their surrounding environment in an amusing and mischievous way. Cheone's characters are seen dumping out a can of paint, doodling on the street, and rolling crosswalk lines onto the pavement. In one scene, the subject really comes alive and grabs the shirt of a passerby.

Photographer Creates Detailed Miniature Worlds with LEGO Characters and Life-Size Objects

French artist Samsofy started out by photographing extreme sports in urban areas, but has recently focused his camera on smaller subjects. Using geek culture as inspiration, the imaginative photographer places LEGO characters next to real scenery and life-size objects, creating a world where these figures are living people who interact with their environment. In one image, chefs drop a delivery of giant macarons. In another, Superman can be found lifting up a massive sidewalk grate.
