French Artist Creates Beautifully Intricate Paper Masks of Animal Faces

French artist Mlle Hipolyte's colorful paper masks feature intricate, origami-like designs to form whimsical animal faces that people can really wear. Feathery paper triangles stacked in layers create a rich texture that resembles fur. The artist skillfully chooses and arranges slips of complementary shades of paper to create a sense of depth. Amazingly Colorful Drawings of Reptiles by Illustrator Tim Jeffs

Artist Tim Jeffs brings vivid illustrations of regal reptiles to life with bold, black lines and brilliant pencil-crayon shading. The New York City-based artist starts a picture by drawing an outline that looks like a grid, which he then fills in with a beautiful spectrum of colored pencils. The grid “squares” transform into rainbow-colored scales, which function like individually shaded pixels to make up a brilliant, Technicolor image.

Mind-Bending 3D Tattoo Appears to Turn Man’s Arm into a Machine

Tony Booth, a tattoo artist and owner of Dabs Tattoo in Southport, England, has successfully made a man appear as if he's an android. On his arm, at least. This incredible tattoo looks as though it's carved from the skin, and what's beneath it is another layer of hex geometric patterning. It's unlike any tattoo we've seen before. The entire thing took 18 months and multiple tattooing sessions to complete.
