Gigantic Man Erupts from the Earth in this Spectacular Outdoor Sculpture

A gigantic man crawls out from the earth in this spectacular outdoor sculpture titled Feltpve (“ripped up” or “popped up”) by Hungarian artist Ervin Lornth Herv. Crafted from polystyrene, the larger-than-life sculpture was temporarily installed in Budapest's Szchenyi Square for the Art Market Budapest art fair that took place earlier this October.

The artist's Etsy shop has all kinds of shapes including a Jack-o'-lantern, a skull, and the heads of a bear, fox, owl, and lion, to name a few. New Banksy Piece: "The Girl with the Pierced Eardrum"

A new Banksy piece has just been spotted in his hometown of Bristol. This time, the elusive street artist pays tribute to Dutch painter Johannes Vermeer's 1665 masterpiece Girl with a Pearl Earring. Of course, in true Banksy style, there's something a little off about the piece. The pearl earring (and the entire earlobe) has been replaced with an alarm box (from ADT).

Geometric Wooden Sculptures Depict Abstract Cityscape Formations

Philadelphia-based artist and craftsman James McNabb recently opened a new solo exhibition, called Metros, that expands upon his ongoing collection of stunning wooden cityscapes. The work is currently on display at the Robert Fontaine Gallery in Miami and “explores sociological concepts regarding transformations of cities and urban landscapes, their beauty, uniqueness, and overdevelopment.” Each geometric piece is an amazing explosion of architectural shapes that seem to burst from the surface.
