Floral Human Figures Digitally Bloom From Dried Flowers That Have Been 3D Scanned

Artist Jean-Michel Bihorel uses real dried blooms to create a stunning digital series called Flower Figures. The French creative says that this project is “a bit more experimental than what I usually do,” as his work typically features characters with a cartoonish look and feel. Here, he's utilized 3D scanning technology to capture a bunch of dried white hydrangeas that were then multiplied and modeled over a female form.

Sinuous Animal Sculptures Made Out of Foraged Wood and Metal Scraps

Jason Waldron integrates a deep appreciation for wildlife and nature into his weathered wooden sculptures. Built using materials found scattered around his home in Central Oregon, Waldron recycles bits of wood and metal parts into creative, free flowing arrangements. Using a mesmerizing pottery technique called mocha diffusion, he dots wet clay with an innocuous brown mixture that reacts to the surface in an unexpected way–a single drop suddenly blooms into an organic, tree-like pattern that visually fractures the once-smooth exterior. Mocha diffusion is the result of a chemical reaction taking place.
