Charlie Brown Hilariously Mashed-Up with 90s Rap

Using lyrics from old school '90's rap, artist Mark Drew created this funny mash-up, entitled Deez Nuts. The Australian-born, Tokyo-based artist painted large-scale scenes from classic Peanuts comic strips, originally by Charles M. Schulz, and then complemented each cartoon with lyrics from songs by Nas, Wu-Tang Clan, Public Enemy, Notorious B.IG., and Digital Underground, among others.

Dried Up Paint Spills Suspended in Mid-Air

Based in LA, Malanie Rothschild is a self-taught artist who once spilled a gallon of paint all over the floor. She decided to let the paint dry and, as she peeled the dried pieces up days later, she discovered a magnificent new creation that instantly inspired her as an artist. She discovered that this simple mistake of spilling paint was, in and of itself, a painting without the canvas.

Intricate Miniature Tape, Thread, and Toothbrush Sculptures

Japanese visual artist Takahiro Iwasaki manipulates common objects, transforming them into intricately designed sculptures. From carving into rolls of tape and carefully assembling the loose threads from towels and socks to architecturally constructing the bristles from toothbrushes, Iwasaki repurposes ordinary objects into extraordinary landscapes and tiny monuments in his Out of Disorder series.

Beautifully Haunting Sculptures of Five Girls Weeping

Cardiff, Wales-born artist Laura Ford has created a set of highly dramatic sculptures that are both strikingly sad and very eery. They consist of five girls set in a Scotland sculpture park called Jupiter Artland, that are asking to be discovered. Called Weeping Girls, they were commissioned and sculptured in 2008 specifically for the Jupiter Artland site.
