Frieze Los Angeles 2025: The Sixth Edition of the Iconic International Art Fair Will Open in Late February

From February 20 to February 23, 2025, Frieze Los Angeles will return to Santa Monica Airport for its sixth annual edition. The fair will encompass more than 100 galleries from over 20 countries, while also incorporating an ambitious program of installations and collaborations with nonprofit organizations as well as beloved local restaurants. Since 2019, Frieze LA has offered a critical venue through which to engage with the world’s most innovative contemporary art.

ZONA MACO 2025: Mexico City’s Top Art Fair Showcases Contemporary Artists From Mexico and Beyond

Mexico City's largest art fair, ZONA MACO, just wrapped its 21st edition, which ran from February 5-9, 2025. Celebrated at the sprawling Centro Citibanamex in western Mexico City, 220 galleries from 30 countries gathered for the incredible event. My Modern Met also attended ZONA MACO 2025, browsing the work of both established and emerging creators—a vibrant mixture that has long made ZONA MACO the biggest event of Mexico City Art Week.

Expressive Paintings Visualize the Struggles of Moving Through Darkness

One of our favorite multidisciplinary artists, Hera, is back with a beautifully executed exhibition at the Corey Helford Gallery in Los Angeles. Hera, one half of the acclaimed street art duo Herakut, has painted a new collection featuring her surreal, wide-eyed portraits. All My Friends Know Darkness, which is a shared solo show with Hapa painter and muralist Lauren YS, is a look at what it takes to struggle through difficult times.
