Helvetica Typeface Gets an Update for the First Time in 35 Years

The Helvetica typeface is one of the most popular in the world. From street signs to billboard advertisements, it’s everywhere you look (even if you might not realize it). It was first designed in 1957 by Swiss typeface designer Max Miedinger, with the help of Eduard Hoffmann. Its streamlined, versatile letterforms led it to become the international, typographic voice of Mid-Century Modernism.
