Responding to the death of Mahsa Amini in morality police custody, protesters flooded the streets to protest the rigid laws which dictated hijab standards for all women. Risking life and limb, Iranian women around the country and the world bared their heads in protest, cut their hair, and burned headscarves.

Firefighter Lets Blind 6-Year-Old “See” His Uniform in His Own Way

When we think of firefighters, a distinctly protective uniform and a red firetruck usually come to mind. A group of children were on a field trip to a fire station to learn more about the profession and what it entails and among them was a blind 6-year-old. Rather than exclude him from what was going on, one kind firefighter pulled him aside and let him “see” his uniform in his own way.

All-Terrain Track Chairs Added to All Minnesota State Parks for Improved Accessibility

Nature is for everyone; however, it's not always accessible for all. The logistics of trail travel and park infrastructure often leave visitors with mobility disabilities unable to fully experience the park offerings. The state of Minnesota is actively trying to remedy this situation by purchasing more all-terrain track chairs that allow visitors to leave the pavement and set forth on adventure.
