While 2020's Pride Month is looking a little different than usual, many cities across the United States are still finding ways to support and embrace the LGBTQIA+ community. In the past, many cities have painted rainbow flag crosswalks for the occasion, but now one city is getting permanently colorful. Key West has just revealed its new, vibrant crosswalks and they're here to stay.

George Floyd’s Heartbreaking Final Words Are Flown Across 5 U.S. Cities

Five days after being murdered at the hands of the police, the finals words of 46-year-old George Floyd flew across the skies of American cities. This was the powerful work of artist Jammie Holmes, who used the installation as his own demonstration against the violent act that took Floyd's life. On May 25, Floyd was detained outside of a Minneapolis grocery store on suspicion of using a counterfeit $20 bill.

450+ Hour Newscast Shows Hundreds of Displaced Korean Families Being Reunited

On June 30, 1983, the Korean television channel KBS 1 intended to air a 45-minute live special that followed families displaced by Japanese colonization, World War II, and the Korean War. The program, aptly titled Finding Dispersed Families, showed these families as they tried to reunite with their separated loved ones. What the station actually aired was a 453-hour-and-45-minute documentary that captured the world’s attention.
