Banksy’s Anti-War Print Raises Over $100,000 for Ukraine’s Largest Children’s Hospital

For years, Banksy has used his anonymity to create public art that comments on important social issues. In 2003, he made an anti-war mural entitled CND Soldiers across the street from the Houses of Parliament in London—protesting the UK's involvement in the Iraq war. Two years later, Banksy collaborated with publisher Pictures on Walls in a limited series of 700 silkscreen prints of this piece, half of which are signed by the artist.

Three Russian Cosmonauts Show Up at ISS With Bold Uniforms in Ukrainian Flag Colors

It appears that three cosmonauts arriving at the International Space Station just made a big statement. As the hatch opened and the new arrivals were greeted warmly by their international colleagues, it was impossible not to notice what Denis Matveyev, Oleg Artemyev, and Sergey Korsakov were wearing. Instead of the standard plain blue Russian uniform, they were decked out in bright yellow suits with blue trim that looked suspiciously like the Ukrainian flag.

New Stamp Commemorates Ukrainian Soldiers Who Defied Russian Warship at Snake Island

The Ukrainian Postal Service—Ukrposhta—unveiled a new stamp design in defiance of the Russian invasion. Based on the famous events surrounding Snake Island—in which 13 Ukrainian soldiers were recorded standing up to a Russian warship—the stamp is called “Russian warship, go f*** yourself!” It depicts a lone Ukrainian guard rebelling against the Russian naval forces ordering their surrender. Ukrposhta chose this design by Lviv-based artist Boris Groh through a public vote on Twitter.
