In 2016, Flora Borsi captivated us with Animeyed. In the ongoing series of stunning self-portraits, the Hungarian artist cleverly pairs her visage with various animals. Since our discovery, Borsi has added more striking shots to this collection of unique animal self-portraits, culminating in an increasingly enchanting project. Borsi's recent Animeyed additions continue to capture the artist's imaginative and inventive approach to portraiture. Like older hybrids, the more recent photographic manipulations depict the artist as she expertly embodies each of her creature co-stars.

Interview: Cinematic Photos Capture the Traditional and Modern Essence of Tokyo

Dutch cinematographer and photographer Stijn Hoekstra recently traveled to Tokyo, where he captured Japan's capital from a cinematic perspective. With muted tones and unexpected compositions, his photographs reveal a Tokyo far from the neon-soaked snaps that typically exemplify the city. Having studied cinematography, spending time as a camera assistant on both big budget and independent films after graduation, Hoekstra fell into photography after shooting behind-the-scenes images as gifts for the crew.

21-Year-Old Breathes New Life into Historic B&W Photos by Adding Color

Brazilian artist Marina Amaral combines her love of history with creativity, creating colorized versions of historic photos. The 21-year-old artist can spend anywhere from a few hours to several months retouching each image in Photoshop. Originally inspired by colorized photographs she'd seen on an internet forum, she decided to try the craft herself. And now, it's become a career.
