Drone Wedding Photos Beautifully Capture Couples as the Only Two People in the World

We’ve seen drone photography capture some truly stunning images thanks to its aerial vantage point. Through this lens, a subject’s beauty is showcased in a whole new light. Tahiti-based photographer Helene Havard uses camera drones to redefine wedding photography. Unlike typical portraits where couples are front and center, Havard pictures them as ants in gorgeous and grandiose landscapes. The images are shot throughout the islands of French Polynesia in turquoise-blue waters and beneath palm forests.

United States Marine Matthew Callahan uses his experience as a soldier to inform his stunning images of Star Wars clone trooper toys in battle. The iconic Star Wars characters are in the midst of chaos—rocks and debris surround them as they wield powerful guns, crouch behind large rocks, and drag their buddies from danger. Through it all, there’s an incredible feeling of authenticity, and Callahan’s sense of scale makes these scenes seem eerily real.

This forward-thinking idea is precisely why Vogue Magazine decided to forego the traditional photo booth at this year's Met Gala and opted to offer the fashionably futuristic guests an opportunity to create a video portrait. In collaboration with filmmaker Gordon von Steiner, Vogue had a tiny set inspired by the event's Manus x Machina: Fashion in an Age of Technology theme.

This “Amatuer Model / Lover of all things” is the Instagram alias of an anonymous artist-cum-comedian who cleverly parades as Kendall Jenner's fictitious “fraternal twin,” thanks to the magic of Photoshop.
