Street photographer Mikael Theimer delves into this subject with his candid shots of “lovebirds caught right in the act.” Taken on the streets of Paris and Montreal, these spontaneous instances of shared emotion are part of an ongoing project titled Street Love, and are enough to inspire the romantic in any of us.

Rare Cold Weather Phenomenon Displays Mesmerizing Light Pillars in the Sky

Standing around in cold, dipping temperatures may not sound like an ideal situation to be in, but incredible atmospheric phenomena can actually form in the sky thanks to falling temperatures, leading to some stunning visuals.  When the thermometer shows numbers that are close to freezing, flat, hexagon-shaped ice crystals are able to manifest in the air. Once enough of these crystals appear, they can reflect bright light sources (like the sun or street lamps)

Women are typically the ones who participate in them, often intending them as gifts for their significant others. Brendon Williams of Langford, Canada recently shattered this stereotype by posing in his own version of a boudoir shoot, appropriately dubbed “dudoir” by his photographer, Masika May.
