Beautiful Black and White Photos of a Sideways Japanese Tree by Michael Kenna

For the last 20 years, photographer Michael Kenna has been using a manually operated Hasselblad camera to capture beautiful black and white photos of landscapes. He photographs mostly at dawn or at night, so he can take in the ethereal natural light, and his exposures can last up to 10 hours. He doesn't edit his images digitally, rather, he prefers the more traditional darkroom process.

Ongoing Friendship Between a Girl and Her Adorable Cats

Since we first wrote about the heartwarming friendship between a girl and her cat, Russian photographer Andy Prokh has continued to enchant us with charming photos of his daughter Katherine growing up with her adorable British Shorthair cat LiLu. Although both Katherine and LiLu are now one year older, the affection between the two friends is as sweet as ever, with one significant change–the addition of a Scottish Strite kitten to the family.
