Powerful Ocean Waves Consume a Single Lighthouse

Landscape and wildlife photographer Marina Cano has a strong affinity for the sea. Based in the north of Spain, the determined photographer isn't afraid to venture out into stormy weather in order to capture the great energy and passion of her surrounding world. In the series, entitled Sea, Cano creates a juxtaposition between nature and man-made objects, narrowing in on a lighthouse as it becomes consumed by the overwhelming strength of the ocean.

During his travels to Nepal and India, photographer Alexis Pazoumian became interested in the Sadhus–the holy men who choose to live separated from society in order to focus on a life of spiritual meditation and contemplation. In the project, entitled Sadhu Hundred, each subject exudes a peaceful, reflective character that sits in perfect harmony with their colorful garb, long hair and beards, and painted faces.

Model Cars Look Life-Sized Through Forced Perspectives

Model maker and photographer Michael Paul Smith has expertly combined his two crafts to create a series of images that make his intricate model cars look like life-sized vehicles on the road. The multifaceted artist, who has been handcrafting scale models for over 25 years, cleverly uses forced perspectives to give a seamless synchronization between his imaginary town called Elgin Park and environmental settings in real life.
