Incredibly Realistic & Shocking Cardboard Scenes

Box is a project by Belgium photographers Maxime Delvaux and Kevin Laloux, in which they utilized cardboard and miniature dollhouse furniture to create these dramatic scenes. The elaborate portraits portray the imperfections of life through very surreal and cinematic moments. Each character seems incredibly downtrodden and unresponsive to the life around them.

France-based engineer and photographer Mathieu Degrotte shares his fascination with fire in his Animated Gifs folder at DeviantArt. In particular, the 24-year-old's spinning steel wool gifs are absolutely mesmerizing to watch.

Mind-Boggling In-Camera Panoramic Distortions of Time

Normally, we record a moment in time with a photograph or a video, revealing specific spaces in time, but these abstract photographs by multifaceted artist Jay Mark Johnson takes a different approach. Using a slit camera, the photographer manages to capture both motion and time into each of his warped panoramic shots. Somehow, the technology is also able to separate the subject(s) from the background.
