Artist Continues to Create Fractured Sculptures that Eerily Explore Mortality

Johannesburg-based artist Regardt van der Meulen continues to explore and exhibit the inherent fragility of the human body through steel sculptures in a series titled Deconstructed. Much like his past pieces that appear to drip and unravel, his latest collection of fractured forms presents a haunting yet beautiful look at mortality. Aptly titled Weathered, I Am Just The Pieces, Fragmented, and Ephemeral, his most recent works of art further comment on the inevitable decay and degradation of all human beings.

Couple Takes a Plunge to Get Married in the Middle of the Caribbean Sea

We've all heard of couples getting married on the beach, but what about in the water? It's practically unheard of. But that's exactly what bride Susana Zamos and her groom Jovany did; their water wedding was performed in the middle of the Caribbean Sea in Cozumel, Mexico. Surrounded by 100 friends and family, they stood fully clad—and waist deep–in the crystal clear water.

Innovative Installation Casts Shadows Like a Sundial to Create Moving Messages

The clever art installation Time Changes Everything, is an innovative twist on mural art. Instead of paint, Indian artist Daku manipulated the sun's rays to create this ever-changing artwork. By cutting letters from thin sheets of metal and drilling them to the building at precise angles, over 70 words are cast along its facade. As part of the St.Art festival, which curates public art in Delhi's Lodhi district, Daku's carefully realized installation demonstrates the power of words.

Hand-Painted Moon and Planet Lamps Add a Swirling Celestial Touch to Any Room
