Doodle Challenge Transforms Ordinary Cat Photo into Fantastically Amusing Scenes

With a little imagination, an ordinary cat photograph offers infinite doodling possibilities. Although the origins of this photo are unclear, it seems that Weibo user Luo Luobu first drew some delightful additions on an orange tabby that's nonchalantly laying on a white ground. Bored Panda user Sofia then took this idea further by creating an open drawing challenge, inviting anyone to download the image and doodle the cat into new situations and funny adventures.

Photographer Captures Perfectly Symmetrical Kingfisher Dive After 6 Years and 720,000 Pictures

Capturing the “perfect shot” is sometimes years in the making–just ask Scottish photographer Alan McFadyen. He devoted about 4,200 hours and 720,000 exposures in order to photograph a kingfisher making a precisely symmetrical dive into its reflection on a lake. McFadyen has admired the small, colorful birds ever since he was a boy, when his grandfather would take him to see their nesting spot near Kirkcudbright, Scotland.

Japanese Railways Implement Special Tunnels for Slow-Moving Turtles to Safely Cross

Recently the West Japan Railway Company working in coordination with the Suma Aqualife Park in Kobe, Japan implemented a surprisingly simple strategy to help make the train tracks a whole lot safer for the slow-moving turtles in the area. Every year, several turtles get stuck in the train tracks, creating a dangerous situation not only for themselves, but also causing delays or malfunctions to the trains and rails.
