At the Oscars, Ellen DeGeneres made history with that famous celebrity-filled selfie and now The Simpsons' own Matt Groening has created an awesome, wider view of the moment. Bradley Cooper seems to have pushed Homer Simpson's head out of the way! Poor Homer! Just hours ago, The Simpsons tweeted this image with the line, “@TheEllenShow Oscar Selfie: A wider view. #thesimpsons.

Streaking Light Pillars Illuminate the Night Sky

The natural phenomenon known as light pillars are making headlines once again due to one photographer's incredible capture of them one recent cold and late winter night. Photographer Jay Callaghan shot the beautiful photo (above), on his back deck at 1:45 am as he was looking northeast toward Chemong Road in Peterborough, Ontario. When extreme cold weather hits, ice crystals or tiny discs of ice may form.

Unbelievable Stacks of Balanced Stones Seem to Defy Gravity

Artist Michael Grab of Gravity Glue is incredibly skilled at achieving beautiful harmony in the most surprising rock formations. His delicately assembled stacks, entitled Balancing Rocks, seem to defy gravity. However, he says that gravity is the only “glue” that holds his structures together. The creative stone balancing process initially grew out of Grab's simple curiosity and has since developed into what he describes as a therapeutic ritual.
