Rooms Transformed into Suspended Cat Playgrounds

German design company Goldtatze (Gold Paw) specializes in transforming ordinary rooms into overhead playgrounds for cats. By adding wooden bridges, hammocks, scratching posts, and even little dens for cats to hide out in, each site-specific installation offers playful felines plenty of room for adventurous activity and their much needed catnaps. With Goldtatze's installations, cat owners are given more room for their own furniture while allowing their pets to roam freely on their unique playground.

Incredibly Complex Triple Exposures Created In-Camera

These beautifully composed triple exposure photographs were created completely in-camera by Seattle Times photographer Marcus Yam. Challenged to produce a visual story to go along with a Seattle Times essay, Yam determined that his standard photojournalistic approach would not fit with the content. So, he decided to illustrate the story by merging three ideas into one unique photograph without using any post-production Photoshop techniques.

Incredible Shadow Art by Fabrizio Corneli

The shadow art of Italian artist Fabrizio Corneli is the result of carefully calculated projections of light. Using mathematics to produce each visually compelling and mind-boggling piece of work, Corneli gives life to his seemingly simple, geometric wall extensions with light. He poignantly says, “Light is energy which creates forms.” When the lights are turned off, the Florence-based artist's work seems like a collection of abstract sculptural figures.

Surreal Sculptures of Disintegrating Animals

Tomohiro Inaba is a creative sculptor who produces eye-catching figures that look like they are disintegrating into thin air. The Japanese artist's steel sculptures titled Promise of Our Star and Next to the World are particularly effective in the visual illusion. Each figure offers a duality that lies somewhere between solid sculpture and three dimensional scribbles. In one piece, viewers are presented with a grazing fawn, while the other displays a leaping deer.
