Banksy’s New Mural Mocks Smart Phone Distracted Lovers

Banksy, the most recognized street artist of this era, had been quiet since his whirlwind tour of New York City last fall. Well, he's up to his old tricks again, and his website was recently updated with a new piece that's painted on a quaint stone wall on Clement Street in Bristol, United Kingdom. It features two people in a close embrace but are distracted and checking their phones over the other's shoulder.

Gorgeous Open-Impressionism Paintings of Colorful Landscapes by Erin Hanson

Artist Erin Hanson has always had an affinity for painting, but she didn't pursue her full time artistic career until she was living in Las Vegas and rock climbing at Red Rock Canyon. The breathtaking scenes throughout the land prompted Hanson to develop a goal of producing one painting per week. For the past eight years, she has stuck to that goal and continues to create stunning oil landscapes filled with a sense of wonder.

Surreal Images Show What Venice Would Look Like if it was Completely Frozen

Has Venice's famous Grand Canal completely frozen over? Not quite. Though it may appear so in these photos, they're actually the clever work of art director Robert Jahns (or nois7 on Instagram). He's taken photos shot by others, like Venice's Piazza San Marco by Luis Manuel Osorio Fernando, and Russia's Lake Bakail taken by Daniel Kordan, and spliced them together to create a surreal composite that looks almost believable.
