Billowing Tire Sculptures Address Global Pollution

Tel Aviv-based artist Gal Weinstein replicates a number of burning tires emitting heaps of billowing smoke in the aptly titled series Fire Tires. Each sculpture, which reaches up to a height of 4 meters, is made of wax, carved to look like tires, accompanied by various skillfully crafted components to mimic the thick, swirling smoke rising into the air.
