Whisked Away in an Immaculate Dream

In this series titled Immaculate Dream, photographer Nicoline Patricia Malina whisks us away to another world with gorgeous shots that almost look as though they were taken in infrared. The monochrome light blue color works perfectly within the scenes, making the beautiful model really stand out in the seemingly chilly background. Malina was born in Surabaya, Indonesia and studied Fine Art in Utrecht, Netherlands.

Like a beautifully wrapped present, this stunning self-portrait by 21-year-old Olga Valeska got dropped into our inbox today. Where does the dress end and the water begin? The France-based, self-taught fine art photographer amazes us with her skills, not just for taking pictures but for creating them. “Early on, as a child, I found shelter in my imagination,” she writes.

Beautiful Scanner Bed Self-Portraits

Recently, we saw this fashion photo shoot involving experimental photography with a model and a scanner. The results of that creative process were stunning, so I was excited to come across photographer Whitney Justesen, who also skillfully operates a scanner to tell creative stories with her photographs. Justesen's self-portraits portray a young girl experiencing a variety of emotions.

Magical Scenes Sculpted with Chicken Wire

London-based artist Benedetta Ubaldini uses an interesting medium to craft a variety of three dimensional sculptures. Each hand-sculpted animal and figure is skillfully built using chicken wire. The artist says, “The simplicity of this material contains the magical power of transparency that is capable of giving each piece the lightness of an apparition, a ghostlike quality, like a trace from a memory.
