Born in Madrid, Spain, Manu Pombrol is a 35-year-old artist and photographer whose self-portraits are nothing short of extraordinary. Pombrol first started down a creative path when, at a very young age, he painted pictures or portraits in pastels. Then, as computers started making their way into the mainstream, he worked in graphic design. He bought his first camera only about three years ago and that's when everything changed.

Meulman, also known as Shoe, is an artist, designer and art director who was born in Amsterdam and who's worked at international ad agencies like BBDO and television networks like MTV (where he was their creative director for a short period of time).

Hanging Tree Installation (3 pics + video)

This installation, by Japanese artist Shinji Turner-Yamamoto, is incredibly powerful. A hanging tree, with its roots sprawled out, is seen hanging in mid-air inside an abandoned church in Cincinnati. Turner-Yamamoto chose the decrepit church because he liked the marks of decay carved into the architecture by time and nature. “Hanging Garden” is part of Turner-Yamamoto's larger Global Tree Project, which encourages community participation in the creation of each sculpture.
