Stuttgart’s Refreshingly New Modern Library

Have you ever seen a library as modern as this? Korean architect Eun Young Yi beat out 235 other proposals to win the honor of designing the new central library in Stuttgart, Germany. The project took three years to complete and costs roughly $108 million. The opening ceremony was held just last month. Young Yi's design is a large cube featuring nine above ground floors and two basement level floors.

McDonald’s Brilliant Sundial Billboard

If you don't believe that advertising has become more innovative these days, just take a look at this. McDonald's sundial billboard is the perfect example of such creativity and ingenuity. Displayed is their (delicious) breakfast menu as well as their (tasty) lunch menu. The sun casts a shadow on each item that corresponds to the time of day you would normally eat it.
