Father and Son Convert Old School Bus into Mobile Tiny Home for Cross-Country Road Trip

Patrick Schmidt quit his job, bought a 1990 school bus from a California church, and aimed to create a skoolie: a school bus that's revamped for non-school purposes. When he first bought the bus in March, he decided to name it “Big Blue” and then drove it to his parents' Las Vegas home. With help from his dad, Schmidt tirelessly worked to transform Big Blue into a mobile tiny home.

Atlanta-based photographer Jason Travis has been photographing people and their possessions for years, giving his audience a fascinating look into a person's personality based on what they happen to be carrying with them. In his series called Persona, Jason uses diptychs to juxtapose a portrait of each individual with a well-organized shot of the person's belongings–all at once satisfying our curious nature and providing visual stimulation through the organization of relatable items.

2016 Beakerhead Festival to Come Equipped with Fully Immersive Spaceship

Beakerhead, a spectacular festival where art, science, and engineering collide, has recently made an exciting announcement–they're getting their own spaceship! Thanks to the new Big Bang Residency Program, Beama Visual Environments will create a large-scale engineered artwork called Bass Ship that'll premiere during Beakerhead 2016. On the Bass Ship, there are no passengers–everyone is a part of the crew. This immersive, fully interactive audio-visual installation explores the idea of non-verbal conversation.
