Artist Immortalizes Historical NYC Storefronts with Handcrafted Miniature Models

At first glance, these images look like photographs of old New York City storefronts, but a closer look (or a step back) reveals that they’re actually three-dimensional, miniature models. The incredible sculptures have been handcrafted by artist Randy Hage, who aims to pay homage to the historical buildings before they disappear for good.

Honey Bees Become Unconventional Collaborators by Completing This Artist’s Embroidery

It’s common for artists to collaborate on their work, but Ava Roth puts a new twist on a creative partnership with her mixed media pieces. Rather than having artistic input from those on two legs, she looks to creatures with four wings. Her backyard bees are an integral part of her work as they add their honeycombs around embroidered hoop art produced by Roth that's been set inside Langstroth hive frames (commonly used by beekeepers).
