Nighttime Photos Capture Vibrant Pink Glow of Times Square’s Neon Lights

After Bangkok, Hong Kong, and Tokyo, photographer Xavier Portela moves Stateside for the latest installment of his Glow series. #NewYorkGlow sees Portela, who describes himself as a “compulsive photographer,” capturing the vibrant neon lights in and around Times Square. Billboards loom overhead and the world-famous Rockettes smile over the city streets as people go about their business. Portela's color palette, filled with contrasting reds and blues, transforms Manhattan into a surreal setting fit for a sci-fi film.

Fluffy Black Cats Adorably Illustrated as Expressive Balls of Fur

Malaysian artist Kamwei Fong is the creator of The Furry Thing series, a collection of adorable fluffy black cat ink drawings. The artist lives by the motto, “Be Happy. Be Childlike. Be Ridiculous.” This philosophy is illustrated throughout his growing portfolio of animal-themed artwork, where each character is depicted as playful balls of fur. Fong works under the handle Bo&Friends, which was founded in 2010 and named after his pet goldfish, Bo.
