Maintaining a consistent yoga practice can be a challenge, especially when you’ve got kids. So why not combine the two? Mermaid-haired yoga mom Charity Grace LeBlanc incorporates her brood into her daily poses with a bit of family yoga. On her popular Instagram, she contorts her body into impressive stances that showcase strength, flexibility, and grace—all while her kids sit on her back or hang on her arms.
LeBlanc started her exercise routine after her first child was born as a way to get back into shape. She enjoyed it so much that she decided to continue practicing yoga while pregnant with her second child, Felicity. There was never any question if her kids would do yoga with their mom. “They loved to watch me do the movements even as little infants,” LeBlanc told BuzzFeed. To them, however, it’s less about the practice of yoga and more about play. “Now they think it’s awesome that their mom is a moving jungle gym, and sometimes pull out the mats themselves.”
Aside from valuable—and fun—time with mom, yoga has developmental benefits for her children. “My son is learning to trust me and my daughter is developing great motor skills and muscle control for her age,” LeBlanc says. It’s also setting a positive example for exercise and wellness later on in life. “They’re learning how to be strong and healthy while having fun.” Of course, it has advantages for her too. “I get to work on myself, stay fit, and play with my kids all at the same time!”

Although they're often inside, sometimes the trio has fun outdoors.
Wonder how they do it? LeBlanc shares videos of their family yoga:
