Last Monday, as he passed through the north England town of Market Drayton, Mick Carroll saw something unusual coming towards him. An older gent was merrily cruising down the canal with the help of a small remote-controlled tug boat. Carroll snapped a few photographs and posted on Facebook: “Dont ya just love eccentric’s. Seen this fella as we were passin thru Market Drayton gettin pulled along by a remote control tug. Brilliant.”
According to Carroll's post, the man shouted to Carroll, “Just when you thought you’d seen everything!” as his boat passed by, and could be heard chuckling into the distance. This quirky yet simple story inspires two lessons in one. The elderly man represents an ever-lasting “go with the flow” mentality. Do what you want, no matter how silly it may seem to others. If you want to be tugged by a miniature tug boat, by all means, be tugged! From Carroll's perspective, it's a lesson to always keep your eyes open, because you never know what you might see next!
