Deviant Artist eggdoodler carves the most amazing sculptures out of delicate egg shells. For this piece, entitled Africa, he used a large Ostrich egg as the canvas for the nature-inspired work. It features three extremely detailed animals–an elephant, a giraffe, and a rhinoceros–roaming the wild.
With a steady hand and a lot of patience, eggdoodler shaped meticulous details in this tiny little creation. He used an NSK Presto hand piece with diamond and carbide bits to obtain the texture and shapes of his doodles, and then used a very delicate carbide ‘needle' bit for the final detailing. The artist says the egg shell was “altered with a LOT of slow, tiny, gentle cuts” and took around 1,000 hours to complete.
