Baker’s Ordinary Looking Bowl of Cereal is Actually a Sneakily Sweet Cake

For cereal fans and cake lovers, Studio DIY has combined the best of both worlds. They've recently created a delicious tutorial on how to make a Cereal Bowl Cake, which is exactly what it sounds like–a sweet treat reminiscent of a breakfast you'd eat as a kid.

Studio DIY posted instructions for making your own Cereal Bowl Cake. Their recipes–for both the cake and frosting–are straightforward and use easy-to-find ingredients. The most challenging part is forming the “bowl” that the cereal will sit in. To do this, you'd need to prepare a real, oven-safe bowl and pour in the cake batter. After baking, a small hole is cut about a half-inch deep in the finished cake. This creates the appearance of a bowl, which is then frosted and filled with any cereal of your choice. With St. Patrick's Day coming up, Studio DIY suggests Lucky Charms as a festive alternative. For now, scroll down to see a “bowl of Froot Loops” version of this sneakily sweet cake.
