Emma Taggart is a Staff Writer and Video Editor at My Modern Met. She earned a BA in Fashion and Textile Design at the University of Ulster in Belfast. Originally from Northern Ireland, she lived in Berlin for many years, where she fostered a career in the arts, dabbling in everything from illustration and animation to music and ceramics. She now calls Edinburgh home, where she continues to work as a writer, illustrator, and ceramicist. Her ceramics, often combined with hand-painted animation frames, capture playful scenes that celebrate freedom and movement, and blend her passion for art with storytelling. Her illustrations have been featured in The Berliner Magazine as well as other print magazines and a poetry book.

Photographer Takes 3,200+ Photos Capturing the Vibrant Diversity of Portugal’s Windows

Previously, we introduced you to Portuguese photographer Andre Goncalves and his Windows of the World series. In this body of work, Goncalves traveled to Italy, The Alps, England, Romania, and Spain, where he documented a variety of colorful facades and architectural details. He then combined his individual images into large collage grids, grouped by location. Now, in his most recent series, he has returned to his home country of Portugal to capture over 3,200 charming, colorful windows, from 100 locations.

Artists Recreate Elaborate Baroque Wigs Entirely Out of Paper

Russia-based creative duo—Asya Kozina and Dmitriy Kozin—began experimenting with paper in 2007 by making opulent historic costumes. Since then, the material has become their signature medium, and they’ve gone on to make collections of impressively ornate Mongolian wedding costumes, masks inlaid with crystals, and even gigantic paper horses.

17-Year-Old Whips Up Adorable 3D Latte Art That Pops Out of Her Mug

Daphne Tan (aka periperipeng) takes coffee art to the next level. The 17-year-old is quickly making a name for herself by whipping up 3D coffee foam characters that pop out of the mug. With the use of a Nespresso milk frother, the self-taught, Singapore-based latte artist uses a mix of carob powder, soy milk, and water to create the thick foam for her sculpted masterpieces.
