Jessica Stewart is a Staff Editor and Digital Media Specialist for My Modern Met, as well as a curator and art historian. Since 2020, she is also one of the co-hosts of the My Modern Met Top Artist Podcast. She earned her MA in Renaissance Studies from University College London and now lives in Rome, Italy. She cultivated expertise in street art which led to the purchase of her photographic archive by the Treccani Italian Encyclopedia in 2014. When she’s not spending time with her three dogs, she also manages the studio of a successful street artist. In 2013, she authored the book "Street Art Stories Roma" and most recently contributed to "Crossroads: A Glimpse Into the Life of Alice Pasquini." 16-Year-Old Indian Chess Prodigy Defeats World Champion in Tournament

It was nearly 3 a.m. and while most teenagers would be sleeping, Rameshbabu Praggnanandhaa was making history. The 16-year-old Indian chess prodigy had just defeated world champion Magnus Carlsen using only 39 moves, making him the youngest person to do so. It was a serious blow to the 31-year-old champion, who was also a top player when he was a teenager.

Stunning Photo Captures “Miracle” Fog Rolling Over Sacred Mountain City in Japan

Japan is filled with natural wonders, but there is one in particular that is the muse of photographer Yasuto Inagaki. Mount Tate, or Tateyama, stands tall above Toyama Prefecture. Along with Mount Fuji and Mount Haku, it is considered one of the country's Three Sacred Mountains. It's a favorite spot for Inagaki to photograph, and recently he was rewarded with a special view.

Photographer Explores Tbilisi’s Mysterious Underground Soviet-Era City

Hidden beneath the streets of Tbilisi, Georgia is a whole other world—or rather, a time capsule of the Soviet era. It's a world that photographer Davit Tabagari discovered during spring 2021 and that has fascinated him ever since. A fan of photography since childhood, he's been using his passion to document the historic underground shelters in Tbilisi. In 1921, the Georgian Soviet Socialist Republic was formed and then incorporated into the Soviet Union.
