Thought-Provoking Experiment: Free Shelter Pets Are Placed in a Pet Store with a Price Tag

Brazilian animal rights group Accoviaco Quatro Patinhas recently teamed up with an animal-loving pet store to prove that a price tag means nothing when it comes to finding a devoted furry companion. The compassionate store agreed to see if they could get customers to adopt affectionate shelter animals by pretending that they were actually for sale.

Brandy The Pug is an Award-Winning Surfer and Snowboarder

Brandy The Pug may be over six-years-old, but she is still going strong. Not only has Brandy won a 1st and 2nd place medal in doggy surfing competitions, she has also recently taken up snowboarding. This outgoing pug's thrilling journey is truly an inspiration to both dogs and humans alike.  Jonny Dorman, Brandy's owner, enjoys filming and photographing his pug's adventures for Instagram and YouTube audiences.

Volunteer Pilots Fly Shelter Dogs Facing Euthanasia to New Homes Around the Country

Wings of Rescue, a nonprofit organization based in Van Nuys, California, has saved the lives of over 12,000 dogs since 2009 thanks to a team of dedicated pilots who transport shelter dogs to new homes around the country. With the help of other volunteers, Wings of Rescue pilots provide air transport for animals who are close to being euthanized due to lack of space in many of California's high-kill shelters.
