Getting enough sleep is a challenge for almost everyone. In the case that you can't get at least seven hours off sleep at night, taking a cat nap is a great way to catch up on rest. While felines are most commonly recognized as avid daytime snoozers, there's a certain bird that has taken napping to another level. 100+ Photographers Contribute Their Work To Raise Funds for 13 Orphaned Elephants

Wildlife photographers capture poignant stories of survival and hope with their cameras. While their labor brings visibility to the issues animals face, over 100 photographers have taken their efforts to the next level. Vital Impacts, a non-profit dedicated to boosting environmental art and photography, is launching a fundraising fine art print sale in support of Reteti Elephant Sanctuary, Africa's first indigenous-owned elephant sanctuary. The efforts of the Reteti Elephant Sanctuary help in two ways.

Kangaroo Strumming an Air Guitar Wins Comedy Wildlife Photo Awards

A kangaroo rocking out on its air guitar took home the top prize at the 2023 Comedy Wildlife Photography Awards. Jason Moore‘s hilarious picture beat out 5,300 funny animal photos in what was a fierce competition. Now, Moore will get to experience a once-in-a-lifetime safari in Kenya's Masai Mara for his efforts. Moore took the image after spending time photographing waterfowl in Perth.

Lone Male Orca Known as “Old Thom” Is Taken in by a Pod of White-Sided Dolphins

Orcas are fascinating animals. They are huge in size, highly intelligent, and quite social. But for all their interesting features, a particular whale has stood out for not following the status quo. Known as Old Thom, this particular orca has caught the attention of both scientists and fishermen for being a loner. And when he has been spotted with  company, it's never his fellow whales, but rather a group of white-sided dolphins.
