Rare Birds With “Vantablack” Feathers Absorb 99.95% of Light

Birds-of-paradise are striking animals known for their elaborate plumage, used by males to attract mates. Found primarily in New Guinea and eastern Australia, researchers are still discovering more about these rare birds. A case in point is the superb bird-of-paradise (Lophorina superb). With Vantablack feathers, this bird-of-paradise is known for its elaborate courtship ritual. But now, researchers have realized that what they believed was one species is actually two.

Adorable Baby Goats Are Treated to a Newborn Photo Shoot Just Like Humans

Newborn baby photos are always worthy of an “aww,” but you're sure to squeal when you see the cuteness of young goats. Photographer Sherry Pratt of Moments Whispered snapped a series of adorable portraits featuring these beloved creatures. Pratt styled the shoot like she was photographing newborn human babies and adorned the kids with tiny crocheted blankets and flower crowns. She even placed a couple of sleepy goats in a pair of boots!
