This 3D-Printed House Is Made From Recyclable Materials and Will Be Zero Waste

Work is almost complete on a series of 3D-printed houses that push the boundaries of construction and fabrication. Called TECLA, this project features futuristic dome-shaped dwellings located near Bologna, Italy. The unusual forms and uniquely layered interiors make TECLA interesting enough on its own, but the style is not what makes this project so special.

Architects Are Proposing 10 Futuristic Towers To Revitalize the Greek City of Thessaloniki

Architecture competitions offer a way for designers to envision places as they could be. One competition called ArXellence 2 asked creatives to propose ideas for the redevelopment of the Greek city Thessaloniki and its western coastal side. One response to this call is a proposal by OF. STUDIO and Degree Zero Architects called OCULIS which includes a complex of 10 futuristic towers. These modular buildings attempt to create a unified aesthetic for Thessaloniki’s new business reputation.

Architects Design Twisting Tower Inspired by Muscle Fibers for NYC Skyline

Turkish architecture firm Hayri Atak Architectural Design Studio has recently released images of Sarcostyle Tower— a 210-meter (689-foot) conceptual skyscraper that hopes to be an interesting addition to the New York City skyline. The futuristic renderings of this playful tower take great inspiration from biology. The project itself gets its name from the term sarcomeres, which is a complicated unit of striated muscle tissue.
