However, its inventors—Christopher Latham Sholes, Carlos Glidden, and Samuel W. Soule—probably never imagined that their machine would be used to make visual art more than 150 years later. Using his collection of over 100 vintage typewriters, London-based artist James Cook creates intricate, one-of-a-kind artworks made entirely from thousands of hand-typed letters and symbols.
