Tiny Treehouses Are Meticulously Handcrafted Within Bonsai Trees of All Sizes

Animator and artist Dave Creek sadly passed away after a skydiving accident in January 2021. A man of many talents, he was perhaps best known as the lead character designer on the beloved animated show Bob's Burgers. But beyond animation, he had a second creative passion: building miniature treehouses within bonsai trees. In celebration of his work, we want to showcase these incredible handcrafted worlds. Bonsai trees have long been symbols of harmony and contemplation.

Artist Explores Her Lifelong Connection To Prairies Through Energetic Landscape Paintings

While some artists travel far and wide for inspiration, mixed-media painter Jennifer L. Mohr only needs to look at her surroundings. Raised—and based—in Alberta, Canada, Mohr has centered her creative practice on her connection to the native prairie landscapes where she enjoyed her childhood. The artist's ongoing series Belonging to the Land focuses on her “place-identity connection” through expressive depictions of sprawling plains and blooming wildflowers.
